Member Affairs Committee

The Member Affairs Commitee's mandate is:

"To develop and recommend programs which enhance the exposure and image of the downtown to Downtown Association members and to develop programs which encourage the involvement of DownTown Association members in the association."

The Member Affairs Committee meets on the first Wednesday of every month at 8:30am. If you're interested in serving on this committe, please contact the GPDTA. If you have a concern, idea or issue that you'd like the committee to consider please contact one of these committee members:

Beautification Committee

The Beautification Committee's mandate is:

"To develop, recommend and monitor physical improvements in public amenities in the downtown area, including but not limited to sidewalks, lighting and the location of transit stops and to develop programs and strategies to encourage the enhancement of private sector improvements in the downtown, to develop and recommend beautification projects that enhance the image of downtown."

The Beautification Committee meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 9:00am. If you're interested in serving on this committe, please contact the GPDTA. If you have a concern, idea or issue that you'd like the committee to consider please contact one of the members:

Promotions Committee

he Promotions Committee's mandate is:

"To attract people from Grande Prairie and the region to the downtown through events, attractions, promotions and cooperative marketing."

The Promotions Committee meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 8:30am. If you're interested in serving on this committe, please contact the GPDTA. If you have a concern, idea or issue that you'd like the committee to consider please contact one of the members:

Strategic Directions Committee

The Strategic Directions Committee's mandate is:

"To develop and recommend strategies to prevent, where possible, the movement of businesses out of the downtown area and to attract new businesses to the area and to identify trends and activities that affect the downtown in the long term and to recommend strategies and time lines to respond to them."
