In order to best serve all downtown businesses – and, of course, the Grande Prairie population – the DownTown Association is made up of one Board of Directors and several committees.
Dedicated to unifying, marketing, promoting, lobbying and liaising on behalf of its members, the Grande Prairie Downtown Association is a volunteer leadership group that operates as a Business Revitalization Zone and is governed by a board of directors. If you’re interested in serving on the GPDTA Board of Directors, please contact us at director@gpdowntown.com.

Enhancing the exposure and image of the city centre to its members and encouraging the involvement of the DownTown Association members in the association are two key components of the Members Affairs Committee. This includes handling its social media, gift cards, and monthly newsletters for downtown businesses.
Responsible for planning events and promotions that showcase the downtown, its businesses, and encourage people to visit. From Vegas Night to the Halloween Parade, to monthly giveaways and promotions, this committee is responsible for keeping the downtown fun, family-friendly, and busy with visitors!
This committee was formed to review and update the current policies and practices of the Association, ensuring sustainable, transparent decision making.
