The City of Grande Prairie is inviting the community to its annual Canada Day celebrations at Muskoseepi Park on July 1 including carnival rides, games, live entertainment and fireworks. Residents are invited to show their pride in red and white and celebrate at these free and fun-filled festivities. Muskoseepi Park will be booming with activities for residents to enjoy on July 1 from 2:30 p.m. to midnight.
Celebrations kick-start with the return of the Canada Day parade beginning at 1 p.m. The parade travels from 108 Avenue in Hillside and ends at the Leisure Centre parking lot at 2:30. Residents can attend Muskoseepi Park after the parade where there will be bouncy castles, food trucks, live entertainment, carnival-themed games and carnival rides. Live entertainment is being featured at the amphitheater with 2DayFM attending for a live on location. The Grande Prairie Outdoor Pool is open from noon to 5 p.m. for drop-in swimming. To cap off the evening, the City returns to its traditional main fireworks display setting off at 11:30 p.m. from the reservoir at Muskoseepi Park to finish the celebrations with a bang.
