The Grande Prairie International Street Performers Festival is a mainstay attraction in the City Centre, drawing thousands of residents and visitors to our streets every July for three days.
It marked 19 years of spectacular family entertainment July 19-21.
When Jim Goldsack was asked to design the outdoor sign for the family business at age 14, he had no thoughts of operating the store nearly half a century later.
Al’s News is a fixture in downtown Grande Prairie and Jim grew up working in the convenience store, owned by his parents, James and Helen. They purchased it from original proprietor Al Persky in the early 1960s.
I’m thrilled to introduce the new DownTown Association website. Its launch in combination with several promotional initiatives will rebrand Grande Prairie’s central business district and help pave the way to a brighter future for the City Centre.
